Let’s Talk Health Question Time at the Civic Centre on 21 March, 2012 from 3pm to 7pm.

The results of the Council’s Let’s Talk Health consultation, including responses to our questionnaire and issues raised, will be presented at a special Let’s Talk Health Question Time at the Civic Centre on 21 March, 2012 from 3pm to 7pm.

A panel of senior figures representing the Council and health services across Reading will be on hand to hear and discuss the results and to respond to public questions. If you have a particular public health issue you would like to raise, this is your opportunity to do so.

You can attend all of the meeting or drop in at a time that suits you. If you would like to get involved, please register to attend or submit a question online at www.reading.gov.uk/letstalkhealth, or by telephone on 0118 937 2098.

Reading Borough Council will be taking on a new and very important responsibility for public health in Reading, working alongside GPs and other health professionals who will be making decisions on healthcare if and when the Health and Social Care Bill is passed by Parliament.

Understanding the views and concerns that you and other local residents have about our health services is vital for this future work, particularly now. Please join us if you can.

Yours sincerely,

Councillor Chris Maskell                          Councillor Bet Tickner
Chair of External Overview                    Lead Councillor for Health
and Scrutiny Commission
