When I was first diagnosed with MS in 2000 at the age of 38, I went into denial. Having overcome a series of personal and family tragedies in my teens, I had rebuilt my life and was a happily married, working mother of two.
At the time, it seemed a step too far to make contact with any of the MS health charities – and thereby accept the reality of my situation.  My own GP had only a rudimentary knowledge of the condition. I needed access to basic information, presented in a non-academic, non-patronising style, that I could dip in and out of when I felt up to it.   For more click here.
