Living well with MS: a role for psychology?

Source MS Trust:

When we think about the effects that a condition such as MS can have on people's lives, it is not surprising that mood problems are common. Over the last year, we set up a psychology service in Surrey offering two frequently used approaches (CBT and MBCT) that research has shown can improve mood and help people adapt to and cope with living with MS. In this article we describe these two approaches and include some of the comments made by our clients who took part.  For more click here.
Note:  CBT is available at BMSTC for people living in the West Berkshire PCT area.  For more information call NHS Talking Therapies on 0118 9769121.   The service is also in other areas by contacting your local PCT.
