Researchers discovers small DNA differences in people with MS

MS Smart - pioneering clinical trial for secondary progressive MS

MS Society: "MS-SMART is a groundbreaking clinical trial for secondary progressive MS. It will test three drugs at once – a first in MS research.

BMSTC Garden Project

Some of you may be wondering why a digger and a skip have arrived in the garden at the rear of the gym. I have been heading up a project to revitalise the area. We have had a design done professionally, and we have a team of landscape gardeners who will terrace the area, add a raised bed for members which is scented and tactile. There will be a waterfall going down into the ex...isting pond. We are aiming to make this area tranquil. There is nothing like running water to soothe the senses.

David and I are doing the planting plan, and we would like any suggestions by members for particular plants which have a particular meaning for them, and we will do our best to incorporate these into the garden.

Disabled people win living fund case against government

Five disabled people have succeeded in a legal challenge to the government's decision to abolish the Independent Living Fund.

We are currently looking for Patients to take part in a face to face paid market research on the topic of multiple sclerosis. This research is for individuals that have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis to participate in a test of medical software used for the care, treatment and management of Multiple Sclerosis. The purpose of the test is to determine how easy or difficult MS patients feel the product is to use.

Location: London (Central London)
Dates available: Any day from Friday 22^nd Nov to Friday 6^th Dec 2013
Times available:  Any time from 8am till 8pm
Duration: 60 minutes
Incentive: £80 cash on the day

MS Trust working to safeguard MS nurses' posts

Over the past few months, the MS Trust has been approached by a number of MS specialist nurses whose services are under threat.

The threats range from downgrading of their posts, cuts to the number of nurses in the team or withdrawing funding for the service. In the drive to cut costs, the competence and experience of specialist nurses and the difference they make to people with MS needs to be proved to NHS managers and commissioners of services.  Read more here!
